good day

was a fantastic time at ITE college east just now..it's those annual get-together mainly for sport educators, enthusiasts, staff in various fields such as schs, companies..who shared e same passion..a conference, sharing knowledge, networking etc

there were stories of how VJ got its GCE PE approved by moe, the process and how they went about doing research among the students, shortlist possible exam format n curriculum for the 'o' level subject..e students can group their cca sports as part of e curriculum and from there, have e excuse to improve e theory aspect..pretty interesting..

if i were to think abt it, it's pretty exciting to think abt doing sports in our country e next few yrs w e mid-term aim of preparing for e sports hub..how to cultivate or instill in our ppl e value of doing sports agst all other plates dat they'd have..especially for our youths.
Having only 48% of population exercising once a wk does not constitute a sporting culture yet. it's just e start. previously, felt discouraged or can't see e tangible results of e 'intangible' work i am doing for e past 1 yr..not meeting bottomline, profits..gosh it takes a lot of 'belief'..but e picture seems clearer..what i am doing, even what many of my colleagues are doing is pioneering, no one has done before kind of thing..

i foresee a wider definition of what does it mean to do and play sports, not necessarily skewed towards excellence in particular sports, outstanding athletes merely but can incl spectators, administrators, broadcasters, media, volunteers doing e support work..it makes more sense for me to stay on..in any case, my motto always goes: "just making a living", "you do yr part for work n enjoy e process, make some friends n give yr spare time for ministry n other things"

thankful for opportunity to go for tis account management course coming up 2 wks from now..w'd learn e whole process of managing gd accounts, establishing strategic alignment w clients and so on..w'd bless work n ministry..there would be more opportunities i believe, want to be more equipped, w e hope league dat is starting, tot of gg for first aid n basic exercise/fitness course..complement w e training dat we'd be having..

thank God as well, it's just nice..went for today's conference, next-next wk is e moe's..sport n health..followed by health n fitness expo end-nov..when i collect my race kit..e one i am organising is in Mar..right after e results of our YOG bid in Feb..whether or not we get it..tis means dat i get to learn all e things dat could be better from tis events and make sure dat they dun get repeated for mine..

it's exciting to think abt e scope of work ahead..conference work-liaising w all e presenters which will be a different slant..interactive, younger, more women presenters, covers more non-athletic aspects, exhibition to showcase what our youth sports have to offer..learning more abt doing triathlon, e gwth of e sports..it's reali 'boom' times ahead for me tis few wks if not next few months..gonna make sure i grow,stretched e most and walking right w Him..ministry as well, synergising well w guofeng n eileen..fantastic man..slowly..felt so refreshed after sharing e values of reading e Word w jocelyn on sun..been long time since i last did follow-up..great..should have more : ) sowing starting to do some re-connecting..hopeful for one new brother by yr-end..then can do e follow up w jacky..time for tis bro to grow..just nice as well, after he finish his studies in dec..timely

in any case, for '08, i would want to focus on sports-career,interests, well-versed w financial knowledge,current affairs, more invol in ministry, possible church planting work-inducted w major cultures well, learning spainish, bike after i settle my loans, by faith, yr-end bonus! i am reali imaging e possibilities..it's endless!
doing presentation for conference eventually, even during church camp..sharing ministry technologies for instance..hosting, starting some sport entertainment ventures..overlap w tourism..how God has used alan n zewei thru business,ministry, i reali believe we can sow dat seed of faith as well..i am starting to see and believe it :)
